Kinja'd!!!

I went into the office at 8:30 to find that, out of 5,000 employees, I'm the only schmuck that decided to go in today. So I hopped back in the car, and am back at home. Roads really aren't that bad, though.

I was proactive and going to work from home today anyway. Brought my computer home.

They closed the office due to the weather. So...had I left the computer there, free day off. Since I brought it home, now I'm working. Grr.

That happened to me last year. The dealership I was working at at the time decided to close for the day and notify everyone except me. I showed up, found the place deserted, and decided to take pictures of Porsches and Jaguars and Mercedes with icicles hanging from the grille.

it snowed here today to, everyone carried on like another day. At this point I find it more surprising when the sky is blue.

That happened last week to me. If my driveway is fine, the roads are usually fine, but myself and the other person who lives in my county actually drove in.

Everyone else, who lives near the office or south of the office (meaning no ice and slush) stayed home.

I am guessing you are somewhere snow is uncommon? I wish I got days off when we get 10cm over night

Snow is perfectly common in Virginia, but people freak out and close everything when it happens. The federal government is shut down today, as well as a lot of companies in the private sector.

Haha, it's actually fine if the snow's not deep. Not that I'm advocating it.
